1 Chronicles 29:15

For we are strangers before Thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers; our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.
For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as all our fathers were: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is no abiding.
For we are sojourners before You, and tenants, as all our fathers were; our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope [of remaining].
For we are strangers before You, and sojourners, as all our fathers were; our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope or expectation of remaining.
For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.
For we are aliens and temporary residents in your presence as were all our ancestors. Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope.
To be sure, we are like all our ancestors, immigrants without permanent homes. Our days are like a shadow on the ground, and there’s no hope.
For in your presence we are temporary residents, just passing through, as all our ancestors were — our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope.
We are only foreigners living here on earth for a while, just as our ancestors were. And we will soon be gone, like a shadow that suddenly disappears.
For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is no hope [of life].
For we are sojourners before thee, and strangers, as were all our fathers. Our days upon earth are as a shadow, and there is no stay.
We are only strangers traveling through this world like our ancestors. Our time on earth is like a passing shadow, and we cannot stop it.
We are like strangers and foreign people who live in your world. Our ancestors also lived in that way. We live here only for a short time and then we disappear, like a shadow. We know that we will die one day.
We are aliens and temporary residents before you, as were all our fathers. Our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope of staying.
For we are strangers before you and sojourners, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no abiding.
For we are strangers before you and sojourners, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no abiding.
We are like ·foreigners [aliens; T sojourners] and ·strangers [transients; nomads], as our ·ancestors [fathers] were. Our ·time [L days] on earth is like a shadow. There is no ·hope [or security].
For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners like all our fathers: our days are like the shadow upon the earth, and there is none abiding.
To you we are all like our ancestors— foreigners without permanent homes. Our days are as fleeting as shadows on the ground. There’s no hope ⌞for them⌟.
You know, O Lord, that we pass through life like exiles and strangers, as our ancestors did. Our days are like a passing shadow, and we cannot escape death.
For we live before You as foreigners and temporary residents in Your presence as were all our ancestors. Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope.
We are like foreigners and strangers. All our ancestors were also foreigners and strangers. Our time on earth is like a shadow. There is no hope.
For we are aliens and vagrants in your presence, as were all of our ancestors. Our days on the earth pass away like shadows, and we have no hope.
For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers; our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is no other hope.
For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.
For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.
For we are sojourners before You, and foreign residents, like all our fathers were; our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope.
For we are strangers before you and sojourners like all our ancestors. Our days are like the shadow upon earth, and there is no hope of abiding.
For we are here for but a moment, strangers in the land as our fathers were before us; our days on earth are like a shadow, gone so soon, without a trace.
“But me—who am I, and who are these my people, that we should presume to be giving something to you? Everything comes from you; all we’re doing is giving back what we’ve been given from your generous hand. As far as you’re concerned, we’re homeless, shiftless wanderers like our ancestors, our lives mere shadows, hardly anything to us. God, our God, all these materials—these piles of stuff for building a house of worship for you, honoring your Holy Name—it all came from you! It was all yours in the first place! I know, dear God, that you care nothing for the surface—you want us, our true selves—and so I have given from the heart, honestly and happily. And now see all these people doing the same, giving freely, willingly—what a joy! O God, God of our fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, keep this generous spirit alive forever in these people always, keep their hearts set firmly in you. And give my son Solomon an uncluttered and focused heart so that he can obey what you command, live by your directions and counsel, and carry through with building The Temple for which I have provided.”
For we are strangers and sojourners before You, just as all our fathers were. Our days on earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope.
To you we are all like our ancestors— foreigners without permanent homes. Our days are as fleeting as shadows on the ground. There’s no hope for them.
For before you we are strangers and travelers, like all our ancestors. Our days on earth are like a shadow, without a future.
For we are strangers before You, and temporary residents, as all our fathers were; our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope.
For we are sojourners before You, and tenants, as all our fathers were; our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope.
We are foreigners and aliens, as all our fathers were before us. Our days are like a shadow upon the earth, none of them abide.
We are like foreigners and strangers, as our ancestors were. Our time on earth is like a shadow. There is no hope.
For we are resident foreigners and temporary settlers in your presence, as all our ancestors were; our days are like a shadow on the earth, without security.
We are outsiders and strangers in your sight. So were all of our people who lived long ago. Our days on this earth are like a shadow. We don’t have any hope.
We are foreigners and strangers in your sight, as were all our ancestors. Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope.
We are foreigners and strangers in your sight, as were all our ancestors. Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope.
For we are aliens and pilgrims before You, As were all our fathers; Our days on earth are as a shadow, And without hope.
We are strangers before You. We are just staying here for a time, as all our fathers did. Our days on the earth are like a shadow, and without hope.
We are here for only a moment, visitors and strangers in the land as our ancestors were before us. Our days on earth are like a passing shadow, gone so soon without a trace.
For we are aliens and transients before you, as were all our ancestors; our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope.
For we are aliens and transients before you, as were all our ancestors; our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope.
For we are aliens and transients before you, as were all our ancestors; our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope.
For we are aliens and transients before you, as were all our ancestors; our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope.
For we are gerim before Thee, and toshavim (resident aliens), as were kol Avoteinu; our yamim on ha’aretz are as a tzel (shadow), and there is no mikveh (hope).
For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as all our fathers were; our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no abiding.
For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as all our fathers were; our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no abiding.
For we are sojourners before You, mere transients like our fathers. Our days on the earth are like a shadow, without security.
For we are strangers before You, sojourners, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are dark and temporary.
For we are strangers before you, and foreigners, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is no remaining.
For we be pilgrims and comelings before thee, as all our fathers were (For we be foreigners and newcomers before thee, as all our forefathers were); our days be as (a) shadow on the earth, and there is no tarrying.
for sojourners we [are] before Thee, and settlers, like all our fathers; as a shadow [are] our days on the land, and there is none abiding.
